2009 Trail Races are here!

For the 2009 racing season we are keeping the Try a Trail series and adding one new event, the Beaudry Lemming Loop. What makes the Lemming Loop unique to the local racing scene is that although there is a start line, there is no finish line! Instead, we have laid out a 5km loop at Beaudry Park that you or your relay team will loop around as many times as you can in either 3, 6 or 12 hours. You will be given credit for each km you do in the last loop before time runs out.

Try a Trail Series

18 July 2009 - 6km
8 August 2009 - 9km
22 August 2009 - 12km
12 September 2009 - 14km
17 October 2009 - 8km or 22km

All of the races are held on Saturdays, with a start time at 9:00am. There will be a pre-race briefing at 8:50 where you will be updated on course conditions, rules and any story the race director may want to share. The Try a Trail series races start and finish at the Ranch at Birds Hill Park, just north of Winnipeg on Highway 59. Your race entry includes a pancake breakfast to be served at the ranch after you hit the finish line. <<Read More>>

Beaudry Lemming Loop

On October 3rd, be prepared for the challenge of this race! The trail loop we've mapped out at Beaudry Park is relatively flat and depending on the weather, is generally dry. Whether you sign up as a solo runner or a relay team for 3, 6 or 12 hours, you'll be treated to a tour of one of the gems of the Assiniboine River valley. <<Read More>>
